GERRY GAYDOS is a lawyer committed to serving the best interests of his clients and the public good. He is honored by the trust clients put in him and desires to establish long term relationships with clients. Gerry has been practicing law in Oregon since 1977. His practice emphasizes assisting those who desire to start a business, purchase or sell a business, reorganize a business and helping those who have started businesses in their succession planning. Gerry's practice also emphasizes estate planning, mediation, arbitration and dispute resolution.
Gerry did his undergraduate work at Ohio State University and graduated from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law (now known as the Case School of Law) in 1976. He served in the United States Air Force as an assistant staff judge advocate and then as an assistant district attorney in Lane County, Oregon.
Gerry has been active in State Bar activities including serving on the Oregon State Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee, the Oregon State Bar Affirmative Action Committee, and as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Business Law Section. Gerry currently is serving as a member of the board of Bar Governors of the Oregon State Bar and currently sits as its Chair of the Bar's Public Affairs Committee. Gerry also has been active in the Eugene-Springfield community by serving for several years on the Board of Directors of the Eugene Family YMCA, Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Eugene, Inc., Eugene Southtowne Rotary, Birth to Three, and other community organizations. Gerry is a co-founder and past president of the City Club of Eugene, past president of the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, and past president of the Eugene Family YMCA. He also served on the City of Eugene Planning Commission for approximately six years.
Gerry is married to Jill and has two grown sons, Josh and Geoff. He enjoys gardening, reading, fishing, physical fitness activities and community service.
