DON CHURNSIDE values personal relationships and enjoys working with the client to obtain the best result. He has been practicing in Eugene since 1979, with his primary focus on creditors' rights and remedies. Don's practice also emphasizes estate planning, real estate, business organization and general litigation.
Don completed his undergraduate studies at Linfield College in McMinville, Oregon, and he received his juris doctor from the University of Oregon in 1979.
Don is a member of the Oregon State Bar and Lane County Bar Associations. He is involved in the Debtor-Creditor, Real Estate, and Business sections of the State Bar Association. He is a frequent speaker on collection law and debtor-creditor issues, and he has authored Continuing Legal Education articles on contract damages, execution and foreclosure, and contract law. Don is the former Chairman of the Oregon State Bar Legal Ethics Committee, former member of the Board of Directors for the Lane County Bar Association, the Oregon State Bar CLE Committee and the Oregon State Bar Future of Legal Professionals Committee.
Don is or has been active in a Director capacity for several community associations, including Junior Achievement of Lane County, the Eugene Hearing and Speech Center, McKenzie- Willamette Hospital Foundation, University of Oregon-Oregon Club and the Eugene Downtown Rotary Club. In addition, he has served on the Board and as President of the Eugene Country Club, Eugene Swim and Tennis Club and Country View Estates Homeowners Association.
